About

Regs is a traditional catered hall of residence for undergraduate students, located centrally but quietly near the beautiful buildings of St Mary’s Quad, the Bute Medical Centre, and the Laidlaw Music Centre. We are one of the smallest residences, housing around 175 residents who are split between the main hall and the nearby Annexe building. The Main Hall houses most residents, with about 30 in the Annexe. We are conveniently located for all students due to our location in the centre of town with a direct path to the North Haugh, where a majority of the science buildings are located.

While being a traditional hall, Regs has an informal ‘family’ feel, which is the number one reason for returning cited by older students. One of the best times to experience the Regs atmosphere is at dinner, when the whole hall can eat together in our charming dining hall. Residents can then move on to socialise in the library, common room, or games room. Regs residents can also enjoy the (in)famous Regs parties, which are organised by the student committee.

This site is run by the hall’s student committee independently of the University. To find out about the hall from the University itself, go to https://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/study/accommodation/halls/st-regulus-hall/.
